Mule Banner! I'll be playing a duo set with Tim Obetz at the Square Root this Saturday night. Saturday, April 4th. Sharing the bill with Monterey Mountain and DS Scrolls.
This is a fund raiser for the Roslindale Food Collective. We'd love to see you if it works, and hopefully we can gather some funds to feed our neighbors. Music 8:00-11:00, with a requested donation of $10-20 at the door. See you in the spring one way or another!
The Reluctant Ramblers will play 2 sets (we play 4-6pm) at the Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser. Come support this amazing event! Sunday, March 22, 2026. 3-7pm.
Get Tickets Here Empty Bowls is a global fundraising movement started in 1990 started by, of course, a teacher. The concept is simple: Pottery studios make and donate the hand-made bowls, restaurants donate the soup. Local organizations who receive the proceeds work on (unending) logistics and details behind putting the event together. The community comes together, buys tickets, takes a piece of functional art (bowls!) home, eats some great local food- all for the benefit of the chosen nonprofits. For us at Create, this partnership is a no-brainer. It embodies everything we’re about: craft, community, being a source of goodness in our community. We are thrilled to join together FAVOR & the Hyde Park Food Coop (details below) to support food access in Roslindale and Hyde Park. In our partnership’s first year of Empty Bowls in 2022, we served a sold-out crowd 300 people and raised much-needed funds. Each year, the even has grown to over 500+ participants and over $30,000 raised in 2025! In 2026, we are aiming even higher! Our next event will be held on March 22, 2026 at the Substation in Roslindale Village! The bowls are already underway at Create, restaurants are signing on, and logistics are going strong! Proceeds benefit Food Access Volunteers of Roslindale (FAVOR), & the Hyde Park Food Pop-Up. They are tiny, volunteer-run groups who aim to continue to build, facilitate & coordinate a network of community members & organizations focused on increasing access, choice, & affordability to healthy food to improve overall community health. Funds raised will go directly towards providing fresh culturally appropriate fruit & vegetables to our community members!
Starting off the fall in the best possible way. Ramblers play at 8pm, and Monterey Mountain follows.

Now more than ever, our food insecure community members need support. The Empty Bowls Project is an international grassroots effort to raise both money and awareness in the fight to end hunger. Join us on Sunday, March 23rd from 3:00pm - 7:00pm at the Roslindale Substation (4228 Washington Street) and choose a handmade ceramic bowl by Create: Art in Community and fill it with delicious soup from local restaurants—before taking it home to keep! We offer a take-out option for those who cannot stay for the event. Proceeds benefit the mutual aid member organizations of the Neighborhood Food Action Collaborative (NFAC): The Hyde Park Food Pop-Up & Food Access Volunteers of Roslindale (FAVOR). NFAC aims to continue to build, facilitate & coordinate a network of community members & organizations focused on increasing access, choice, & affordability to healthy food to improve overall community health. Funds raised will go directly towards providing fresh culturally appropriate fruit & vegetables to our community members through our food distribution programs!
